EMS News
Nancy Wooden Memorial
Thursday, 25 May 2006

We would like to express our deep sense of loss regarding the death of Paramedic Nancy Wooden and her three daughters Rebecca, McKenna, and Theresa. They were involved in a tragic auto accident on May 23rd near their home in Cottage Grove. We will remember Nancy, first and foremost, as a wonderful mother to her three girls. It was evident to all who knew her that they were her priority and the joy of her life. Her caring and compassionate nature, bright smile and unwavering faith endeared her to all of us. She loved her job as a Paramedic Supervisor at W.E.S.T. where she also served as Training Officer and Safety Committee Member. Her leadership and the great example she was to her employees will not soon be forgotten. Although Nancy’s passing is a great loss to us and the entire local EMS community, we all agree that we are better for knowing her.
